Well you guys, the oldest plant I own is this avocado tree my brother gifted me back in August 2010. It was a few months old when he gave it to me.
The one I was growing died on me and he had plenty avocados to spare... so why not give his sister one right?
You'd think that because it's 9 years old it would be bigger huh? Well, I didn't repot it as needed. I also thought about putting it in the ground but was afraid it wouldn't survive the winters. What about if we move? I don't want to leave it behind either!
Two and a half years ago I started repotting and that's when it started growing more and more.
This year, I managed to get it in the house when the temps were super cold. I doubt next winter I can do that again. We're actually looking for a one size bigger pot to repot and keep in there. Good news is this year FINALLY, it got a few flower buds in it!!! Hopefully we get 1 or 2 avocados *fingers crossed*
I want to thank my boys for always helping me move it when needed this winter.
Ohhh, I also planted 2 more avocados. The green pot on the right is for my oldest son and the top black pot on the left is for my youngest for when they get married and leave. Those are about 6 & 9 months old.
My youngest says he doesn't care about the avocado tree. (Yes, he loves avocados so I don't understand why he doesn't want the tree) That all he cares about is the mango. Kid, the mango tree is mine! Maybe I'll have to plant them a mango tree as well 🤷♀️

That Mexican KeyLime tree freeze
I am very concerned for my Mexican KeyLime tree. This winter storm that lasted 1 wk was really harsh on my citrus trees. They're all too...
